
JOSIAH D. NELSON, MD
Board-Certified Urologist
Dr. Nelson graduated magna cum laude in just three years from Bethel College in 1999 before earning his medical degree from the University of Iowa in 2004, where he was recognized as the Nathanial Alcock Scholar for urology. He completed his residency in urology at the University of Wisconsin in June 2009. During his training, he was published in the Journal of Urology and presented his research at multiple conferences. Dr. Nelson joined Western Wisconsin Urology in August 2009.
Dr. Nelson is board certified by the American Board of Urology. His clinical interests include general urology, robotic surgery, men’s prostate health, and urologic oncology. He has also held leadership roles, serving on the Medical Executive Committee at Sacred Heart Hospital since 2016 and as President of the Medical Staff.
He sees patients in Eau Claire, Osceola, St. Croix Falls, and Black River Falls.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Nelson enjoys downhill skiing, golfing, traveling, wine and bourbon tasting, and spending time with his three boys.
