
JAMES S. IWAKIRI, MD
Board-Certified Urologist
Dr. Iwakiri earned his Bachelor of Science degree in just two years from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, before graduating first in his class from Northwestern Medical School in 1988. He went on to complete residencies in both surgery and urology at Stanford University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident in urology from 1993–1994. Following his training, he joined Western Wisconsin Urology in 1994.
Dr. Iwakiri is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has received numerous academic honors, authored four published research articles, and has lectured extensively on urological topics. His clinical interests include general urology, robotic surgery, urologic oncology, and pediatric urology.
He sees patients in Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, and Stanley. Outside of his practice, Dr. Iwakiri enjoys water skiing, downhill skiing, traveling, bourbon tasting, and spending time with his wife and three grown daughters.
